Terms of Service

By accessing or using the VǪLVE service (“Service”), operated by VǪLVE ApS (“VǪLVE”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Service Description
VǪLVE is an AI-assisted news intelligence platform that allows users to:
- Aggregate content from web sources, RSS feeds, and email newsletters
- Receive AI-generated article summaries
- Organise content into personalised feeds
- Collaborate with team members within organisations
- Receive push notifications for critical updates
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.
4. User Accounts
Registration
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
Account Security
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@volve.dk if you suspect unauthorised access.
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via the app settings.
5. Subscription Plans & Billing
Plans
VǪLVE offers multiple subscription tiers (Free, Pro, Premium, Business). Feature availability varies by plan.
Billing
- Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
- Payments are processed through Google Play (Android).
- Prices are displayed in EUR and may vary by region.
Free Trial
Certain plans may offer a free trial period. You will not be charged until the trial period ends. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.
Cancellation & Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds are subject to Google Play’s refund policy. We do not offer refunds directly.
Plan Changes
If you downgrade your plan, your existing features remain active until the end of your current billing period.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit harmful, offensive, or misleading content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our express written consent
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice.
7. Intellectual Property
Our Content
VǪLVE’s software, design, trademarks, and brand (including the VǪLVE name and the ⚡ logo) are owned by VǪLVE ApS. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Third-Party Content
VǪLVE aggregates publicly available news content from third-party sources. We do not claim ownership of this content. It remains the property of the respective publishers. VǪLVE operates as a news aggregator providing links and summaries, consistent with fair use and Danish copyright law.
Your Content
Any feed configurations, custom names, or other content you create in the Service remain yours. You grant VǪLVE a limited licence to use this content solely to provide the Service to you.
8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
VǪLVE uses artificial intelligence to generate article summaries. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:
- AI summaries are not editorial: Summaries are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or misinterpretations of the source material.
- Verify before acting: Do not rely solely on AI-generated summaries for decisions of consequence (financial, medical, legal, etc.). Always read the original source.
- No endorsement: AI summaries do not represent VǪLVE’s editorial opinion.
- Model changes: The underlying AI model may change over time, which may affect summary quality and style.
VǪLVE is not liable for any errors in AI-generated content or any decisions made in reliance on such content.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- VǪLVE provides the Service “as is” and makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding its accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- VǪLVE is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Danish law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold VǪLVE ApS harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
12. Termination
By You
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account via the app settings.
By Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to VǪLVE or other users.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 10, 12, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at legal@volve.dk. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance.
